Is your backhand a bit rusty? Need some inspiration to brush up on your serve? How about a naked Andy Roddick? Well, you should have been at Elton John's 16th Annual World Team Tennis Smash Hits fundraiser where the tennis pro auctioned off a set of private -- and naked -- lessons to raise money for those living with AIDS in the South.
“Forty six percent of AIDS cases are now being reported in the South," Elton said on Sunday at the Kennesaw State University tennis court. "We are distinctly aware of the problems here and the South will continue to be a priority for the foundation. All of the money raised here today will stay here in the Atlanta market and in Georgia.”
The private session with Roddick originally made no mention of him being in the buff, but to encourage a bigger donation he promised to give the lesson shirtless, which drove the bidding to $11,000. Hoping for an even larger sum, Roddick then agreed to do the lesson totally nude and one lucky female fan pledged $15,000 for the opportunity.
Sounds fun. Though, if we were going to pay $15,000 for an hour with a naked Andy Roddick, you better believe we would NOT waste our time playing tennis.
